BIO

Xara is a Guernsey/Welsh writer for TV and film.

Xara has multiple TV shows in development across the UK, her latest TV thriller is in development with World Productions.

Xara’s first script, Paid a sitcom (co-written with Natalie Malla) was optioned by The Comedy Unit, and together they were selected for Channel Four’s screenwriting programme where they developed Wildside, an original comedy drama. Their sitcom How To Be Normal was shortlisted for the Funny Women Comedy Writing Award, and Xara has also optioned a sketch to the comedy show The Elegant Gentleman’s Guide to Knife Fighting for ABC1 in Australia. Xara and Natalie are now in development on their feature debut with Gobby Girl Productions.

Xara has a Masters in Creative Writing, has written several television commercials, and has covered many production roles across film and television, including working for BIG TALK & COMPLETE FICTION.
