BIO
Morgan Bailey is a Writer, born and raised in Manchester, UK.
Most recently Morgan has completed a first look deal with VIACOM CBS, where he developed a range of ideas for TV over a two year period.
His most work has been the one man show for theatre company ‘IMITATING THE DOG’ where he written the short play, ALL BLOOD RUNS RED, which toured the UK in 2025.
Morgan’s writing career really gained traction in 2016 at ‘Commonword’ a literary organisation based in Manchester. There he wrote a flash fiction piece that was published in an anthology. That very piece served as an instrument for him being accepted onto the, ‘Creating The Bible’ short course at the National Film And Television School (NFTS) in 2017. There he completed a pilot, which culminated in him being accepted onto the BBC Writers room and acquiring his first writing credit for BBC 1 Xtra that same year.
In early 2018 Morgan directed his first short film, RUMET, while on the NFTS’s ‘Diverse Directors course’, it was premièred at Channel 4 HQ and entered into a host of festivals.
In 2019 Morgan was invited onto a BAME writers group for the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester.
Morgan was part of the BBC Children’s – New Voices Scheme, which resulted in Morgan writing episodes of THE RUBBISH WORLD OF DAVE SPUDD. His short film titled CUFFED, is currently in development, funded by the BFI/ Film Hub North.
