BIO
Joe Forrest is a television writer from West Yorkshire. He graduated from Leeds Beckett University with a BA (Hons) in Film & Moving Image Production and began his career in factual television, where he worked for three years before transitioning into drama.
Joe has worked as a researcher on Emmerdale, Holby City, and the Red Riding trilogy, and has previously served as a script editor on Silent Witness and Grantchester. He has had multiple television projects in development with UK production companies. Most recently, he developed an original drama titled Bad Taste with Quay Street Productions and is currently working with Brock Media on a new crime drama.
He is writing on the second series of ITV’s After the Flood, airing in January 2026, and is also writing on another forthcoming series with Netflix and Quay Street Productions.
Joe’s writing focuses on deeply flawed, relatable characters, often placing them within high-concept or genre-driven worlds.
