BIO
Grandmas are an award winning directing duo, from Manchester.
Their first short film ‘Norteños’, a dark comedy, was longlisted for a BIFA, won the audience award at Encounters Film Festival, won Best Comedy at Aesthetica, and has been nominated at several BAFTA/Oscar qualifying festivals internationally.
Norteños has since been developed into a TV series with NBC Universal and BBC. Grandmas now have multiple TV shows in development across the UK.
The duo are in development on their feature film debut, with FILM 4. They also have their second feature in development with Pulse Films.
Their recent commercial work has been featured at Cannes New Creators Showcase and won awards in three categories at The British Arrows 2024.
