BIO
Alex Clarke is an Irish/Manc writer for film, TV, stage and radio. She won the BBC’s Alfred Bradley Award with her radio drama WAKING BEAUTY and a New Writing North TV Drama Award with BELOW that later went into development with C4 and Bonafide Films.
Her first short film CLAW 2022 was funded by Earls Court Film Festival and produced by Dyspla Productions using volumetric filming techniques and is being adapted into a V.R.
Alex is currently in development with Warp Films with her new dramady THE KING OF CONS developed on the BBC’s Northern Voices Scheme 2022. She is also in development with the BBC and Dancing Ledge Productions with her original TV drama REFUGE. She is currently writing SEX THERAPY also created during the BBC Northern Voices Scheme.
